The 90° down design suits cameras installed above a cable tray, machine base, or control cabinet where the Ethernet cable needs to run downward. It keeps the cable from extending upward or directly behind the camera, but the camera bracket below the port must provide enough clearance.

 

2. Does this Gige Connector use a straight-through T568B wire map?

Yes. The specification shows a T568B wire map with pins 1 through 8 connected pin-to-pin between the two 8P8C RJ45 connectors. It is a straight-through Ethernet cable rather than a crossover cable.

 

3. Which Ethernet standards are documented for this Gige Connector?

The cable test report lists compatibility with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T, and 2.5GBASE-T. For GigE Vision cameras, 1000BASE-T is the primary application. Any 2.5G connection should still be verified with the selected camera, network interface, and cable length.
