FAQ of Display Color Analyzer
1. How does the dual-optical-path design of the Display Color Analyzer work?
The LTDCM-4035 contains two independent optical measuring systems that can collect data from two screen areas simultaneously. As a Display Colorimeter, it reduces sequential probe movement and supports synchronized comparison of separate zones on foldable displays, automotive screens and under-panel camera areas.
2. Which parameters can the Display Color Analyzer measure?
The Screen Color Analyzer measures luminance and chromaticity and supports gamma and flicker analysis. Flicker can be evaluated through both the contrast-ratio method and the JEITA method, allowing brightness, color and temporal display performance to be checked with one instrument.
3. Can the Display Color Analyzer measure OLED and HDR screens at very low luminance?
Yes. As a Display Measurement System, it covers an overall luminance range of 0.0001–6000 cd/m², an auto-mode luminance range of 0.001–6000 cd/m² and a chromaticity range starting from 0.005 cd/m². This range supports dark-state and high-brightness testing for OLED and HDR displays.
4. How fast is the Display Color Analyzer at different brightness levels?
The Color Measurement Analyzer performs Lv and xy measurements at 1 measurement per second below 0.5 cd/m², 6 per second from 0.5–15 cd/m², 15 per second from 15–140 cd/m² and 20 per second above 140 cd/m². Contrast-method flicker measurement operates at up to 16 measurements per second.
5. What working distance and measuring apertures does the Display Color Analyzer require?
The specified working distance is 30 ± 1.5 mm. The two optical paths use 3 mm and 5 mm measuring apertures, so the fixture must maintain the correct distance and align both measuring areas completely within the active screen regions.
6. How can the Display Color Analyzer be integrated into an automated production line?
The instrument connects directly to a computer through USB 3.0 and also supports RS-232C communication. PC software and an SDK are available for system integration. Automated installations still require suitable positioning fixtures, a controller, display pattern generation and production-line synchronization.
