The cable connects an industrial camera’s 6-pin male port to an open-wire interface. It carries camera power and I/O trigger or control signals in machine vision systems, automated inspection equipment and production lines.
2. Which Industrial Cameras Are Compatible with the Hirose Connector 6 Pin Cable?
The cable is compatible with selected Basler racer GigE and runner cameras, Sony industrial CCD cameras, Allied Vision cameras and other cameras with a matching Hirose 6-pin male connector. Check the camera connector, voltage and pinout before ordering.
3. What Connector and Wire Configuration Does the Hirose Connector 6 Pin Cable Use?
It uses a 90-degree female connector in the HR10A-7P-6S format and an open-wire end. The cable contains two 24 AWG conductors and four 26 AWG conductors, identified by red, green, orange, brown, yellow and black insulation.
4. Can the Hirose Connector 6 Pin Cable Connect to a PLC or Trigger Controller?
Yes. The open end can be wired to a PLC, trigger controller, power supply or custom I/O terminal. Wiring must follow the camera manufacturer’s pinout because conductor colors do not represent universal signal functions.
5. Is the Hirose Connector 6 Pin Cable Suitable for Drag-Chain Applications?
Yes. This high-flex cable is designed for moving drag-chain applications and resists abrasion, torsion, heat and flame. The minimum bending radius is four times the cable diameter for fixed installation and eight times the cable diameter for moving installation.
